savethelilinFigured I'd grab this "About Me" thing from taratula since most of you just met me a few days ago. I also added a few things, since as I was filling it out I noticed a couple random numbers were missing from the list I copied.
1. The meaning behind my URL
A few years ago, I had a really big muse for Nagisa Kaworu from Evangelion, and I ended up with multiple journals. I spent most of my time playing the Rebuild one (who was eitherbears_his_sins or dssploded depending on how awful I wanted to be) or occasionally the manga version (hasnoimpact). I'm not going to explain the puns, but if you're familiar with the canon and laughing and/or groaning, you're welcome. This journal was one I made for an original-anime-based version, who I proceeded to never play at all. So I figured I'd give the journal some use.
For those unfamiliar, Kaworu is a slightly warped messiah figure who calls humans "Lilin" for canon reasons, and I was amused at the idea of a journal name that sounded like something you might see on a campaign poster.
Semi-related fun fact: This is my most reblogged tumblr post ever.
1b. Since my username is not my handle, the name I go by online is Wei Jiangling, the first of which is the name my Chinese language teacher gave me because it's similar to my real surname (and also shares a character with the kingdom from the Three Kingdoms, which is very funny since I studied that period of history and she didn't do that on purpose.) Jiangling means river bell and I just liked it at the time. I was 20, studying Three Kingdoms history, and decided I needed a zi.
2. A picture of me
Legit one of my favorite pictures of me, though even my own mother didn't recognise me through the makeup. This is what happens when you work at a haunted house.
3. Piercings I have
None, and it means I've inherited my family's collection of clip earrings.
4. Piercings I want
I've gone this long without any so /shrug.

Poets of the Fall is the one I keep going back to.

None. I think they can be really gorgeous, but I'm always changing things all the time and I'm not sure what I'd want to be permanent.

Given what I said above, I kind of just want to draw all over myself with henna again. ...I should do that.

Nonbinary. I really don't care what pronouns people use for me, but if you want a slightly bizarre neutral to use, I'm a fan of "co".

-Managing to actually make a living doing a million scattered projects rather than one steady job.

See above, but the current list of scattered projects is being a nude art model, working on becoming a voice actor, recording a sex ed themed podcast, and getting my etsy shop running again where I plan on selling interchangeable snap jewelry, soaps, and handmade kinky things. Like the paracord flogger I made today. Except not that one specifically, because it's my first handmade toy so I'm keeping that one.
15. Relationship status
I have a long-distance zifriend and that's technically an open/poly thing, but I have enough trouble sorting through my own hangups when I'm just with one person I only physically see a few times a year so... ???
16. Favorite movie
Rise of the Guardians. Jack even said hi to me once.
Okay, I'll explain that. When I showed the movie to my mom and aunt, it started snowing. I love snow, so I went outside after the movie and because I'm a dork was like "Hey, Jack, you there?" out loud. There wasn't any wind, but just after that, a tiny little gust blew some snowflakes into my face. It was amazing and very very weird.
17. A fact about my life
There was a plurk meme at one point to look up the meanings of your first, middle, and last names. When I did that, I found out my name means "Christian Bitter Army Leader." I thought it was hysterical and spent the next couple weeks with my display name changed to "Crusades."
18. Phobia
Bees. My cousin kicked a log in the woods near my house when I was a little kid and we got chased by yellowjackets. I have never gotten over it.
19. Pets
I have a bearded dragon lizard named Haku after Spirited Away. I always had cats growing up (my parents still have one of them) and would dearly love to have a cat, but non-aquarium/terrarium pets are only questionably allowed in the apartment I'm in and difficult to take care of when I barely have money for myself.
